In December 2004 Mr Harrison & Mrs Chapman led a party of 13 students from years 9 & 10 on the second German exchange to Harpstedt in North Germany. Harpstedt is a small place - similar in many ways to Market Drayton - so the students were not overwhelmed as they might be in a big city.

During the week-long stay we attended a variety of lessons, visited the Christmas market at Bremen and went bowling. Staff participated in a local tradition - the Kohlfahrt (don't ask) - while students had parties over the week-end.

The German students will return in September 2005 and the third group of English students will head out in December the same year.
